Technology for Teaching — Go to Donors Choose Today to Support the Purchase of a Projector to use with Interactive White Board

Miss Nikki, Lead Preschool Teacher, writes:

My students need a projector to accompany the interactive whiteboard previously funded through DonorsChoose.org!  Double the impact of your Donors Choose gift-donate before September 5 and your gift (up to $50) will be matched!

My Students

Our class is made up of 20 intelligent, energetic and culturally diverse students. They range in ages of 3-5 years, thus among them there are multiple skill levels. Most of them come from low-income homes and many are English language learners. One thing they all have in common is a thirst for learning! They learn in diverse ways and my goal is to meet their various educational needs. This entails creating fun and challenging lessons that will elevate their skill levels.

This past June, through the generosity of Donors Choose funders, fundraising for an interactive white board for my classroom was completed. Now, all that is required is a projector to accompany this technology that will ultimately change the way teaching takes place in my classroom!  Through this piece of technology, students will have a new method to demonstrate their knowledge of a subject through touching, drawing, writing and viewing content.

The board will in turn provide quick feedback about their work. Thus, teachers will have another mode of identifying individual strengths and weaknesses in various subject areas which will influence future lessons and activities.
