SEI Hosts an Action-Packed Afternoon for School-Age Students

On Aug. 22, 16 nine- and 10-year-olds from Children’s Village’s Summer Camp traveled to SEI’s Oaks campus. A long-time supporter of Children’s Village, SEI’s team of volunteers, led by employees Marla Carson and Kamiel Corbin, hosted an array of activities including candle-making, shooting an adventure video, and visiting the “Tree of Forty Fruits,” a living work of contemporary art. The children also competed in the “Marshmallow Challenge” team-building exercise and created over 200 holiday notecards for homeless individuals. And of course, they enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch.

Videographers Bruce Logan and Max Boddorff filmed a group of campers, creating action shots throughout the campus. What a great way to end the summer! Check out this year’s wonderful video adventure!

Children’s Village thanks SEI for the many ways they support us through tax credit donations, school supply drives, classroom readings, and fundraising activities for special equipment and classroom supplies. SEI’s fundraising and volunteer activities are coordinated through SEI Cares, a grassroots, employee-run organization focused on supporting the global communities in which SEI lives, works and plays.
