A Message From Our Executive Director

Since our 1976 inception, we have educated thousands of young children and supported their families, always guided by the highest quality standards.  Despite tremendous challenges brought on by the pandemic, Children's Village continues to provide infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children with high-quality care and education. While we continue to respond to the needs of our community, Children’s Village’s commitment to high-quality early care and education remains unchanged. Children’s Village supports the whole child. We foster a child’s social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and creative development, all within the context of the family. This foundation best prepares a child to flourish throughout school and life.

Children’s Village respects that families are key to children’s learning success. Children’s Village is an inclusive, collaborative community that embraces diversity; we welcome and support every family and encourage our families to get involved in the life of the center.

Our dedication to providing a safe, child-centered environment extends beyond the walls of our classrooms. Children’s Village is a passionate early learning advocate. We work to ensure that the doors to high-quality early learning and school-age enrichment programs are open to every child. As a sought-after resource, we share what we know.  We are expanding our distinctive professional development role: Children’s Village is home to Philadelphia’s FIRST professional training hub for early learning educators within a high-quality early learning program. We are sharing our expertise with teachers, directors, student-teachers, and others through our Learning Lab.

I hope you’ll visit our website often for announcements and updates. Take a moment, too, and “stroll” through our Art Gallery; you’ll marvel at the children’s artwork on exhibit!
