In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the child care industry is on the brink of collapse, threatening parents’ ability to return to work.

With lower enrollment rates, less revenue, and increased expenses, child care providers cannot hang on much longer. Many have already permanently closed.

Today, Thursday, July 16, join us for a call-in day to urge the Senate to give targeted, direct assistance to providers, sustain the child care sector, and reinforce the critical role child care providers play in the nation’s ability to recover from the pandemic.

CALL YOUR SENATOR: Call the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 to request that your Senator #SaveChildCare!

The National Women’s Law Center(NWLC) has also set up a link that will connect you to your Senate office once you include your zip code.

Before being connected to Senators, callers will hear the following pre-recorded message:
“Thank you for calling your senator! In a moment, you’ll be connected to their office. Please tell the staffer where you’re from, that you’re a constituent, and that we need at least 50 billion dollars in dedicated child care funding in the next COVID-19 legislative package. Thanks again!
