The pandemic is shining a light on the vital role high-quality child care plays in ensuring
children, families, and the economy thrive.

Yet a recent National Association for the Education of Young Children survey of child care programs found that 56% are losing money each day they remain open and 44% face so much uncertainty that they are unable to say how much longer they will be able to stay open.

Child care providers are the workforce behind the workforce.

Economic recovery relies on stabilizing child care. Equally critical, public investments are needed to rebuild the system to ensure every child has access to high-quality care.
